Pushpa 2 box office Day 2: Allu Arjun film makes history, earns Rs 400 crore globally

Pushpa 2 Box Office Day 2: Allu Arjun’s mass entertainer roars into records! After smashing all records on Day 1 as the biggest Indian opener ever, the film crossed Rs 400 crore worldwide in two days. The Telugu action drama directed by Sukumar is the sequel to the 2021 release Pushpa: The Rise.

According to early estimates, Pushpa 2 has surpassed the Rs 400 crore gross mark worldwide with a two-day total of Rs 265 crore net (India). The phenomenal collections reflect the immense love and excitement for Allu Arjun’s portrayal of Pushpa Raj.

According to Sacnilk, the film collected an estimated Rs 90.1 crore net in India on Day 2 of its release, after breaking several records on Day 1.
On its opening day, Pushpa 2 claimed the throne at the Indian box office, surpassing Rajamouli’s RRR to take the top spot. It outperformed blockbusters like Baahubali 2 and KGF 2 and even became the biggest Hindi release, surpassing last year’s Jawan.

Pushpa 2, released in multiple languages, saw strong occupancy across all versions on Day 2. In Telugu, the movie recorded an overall occupancy of 53 per cent, while in Hindi, it stood at 51.65 per cent. Tamil had a 38.52 per cent occupancy, Kannada 35.97 per cent, and Malayalam 27.30 per cent.

Pushpa 2: The Rule cements Allu Arjun’s status as the reigning star of 2024. Directed by Sukumar, the film delves deeper into the thrilling saga of Pushpa Raj, a red sandalwood smuggler facing mounting challenges.

Fahadh Faasil reprises his role as the formidable SP Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat, while Rashmika Mandanna returns as Srivalli. Jagapathi Babu’s addition brings fresh intrigue to the impressive ensemble cast.

Given an extended weekend and no major release soon, Pushpa 2 is expected to reign at the box office. With music by T-Series, Pushpa 2: The Rule has set a high bar for future releases.
