The rate of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders has been reduced by Rs 7 ahead of the Union Budget 2025-26. A commercial LPG cylinder will now be available in Delhi for Rs 1,797.
Ahead of the Union Budget 2025-26, oil marketing companies have reduced the rate of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders by Rs 7 with effect from today. This is the second consecutive month that the rate of commercial LPG cylinders has been slashed.
As of today, the retail sale price of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder in Delhi will be available at Rs 1,797 instead of Rs 1,804. This comes ahead of the Union Budget which will be presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for the eighth consecutive time.
However, the prices of 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinders have remained unchanged. A domestic LPG cylinder is priced Rs 803 in Delhi, Rs 829 in Kolkata, Rs 802 in Mumbai and Rs 818 in Chennai.
The prices for both commercial and domestic LPG cylinders are revised on the first day of every month.
On January 1, commercial LPG cylinders’ price was reduced by Rs 14.50 from Rs 1,818.50 to Rs 1,804.
The rate of commercial LPG cylinders was hiked by Rs 16.50 on December 1 last year, Business Today, India Today’s sister publication, reported.
Oil marketing companies hiked the commercial LPG cylinder price in Delhi by Rs 62 and the rate was set at Rs 1,802 on November 1. On October 1, the commercial LPG cylinder rate was raised by Rs 48.50, setting the retail price at Rs 1,740, up from Rs 1,691.50, according to Business Today.
