A man attacked the police team which went to a village in Farrukhnagar (Gurugram) to attend a distress call made by a girl on the women helpline number .
The crime took place in Sultanpur village. When the police had gone to the house to settle the dispute.
According to
the police the incident took place Wednesday night when a girl a resident of
Sultanpur village, called the women’s helpline number (1091) to inform that her
father was thrashing her mother and her.
Immediately, a Police control room (PCR) van comprising head constable Manoj Kumar, Deepak Kumar, Sunil and special police officer went to the spot to look into the complaint. As the police team reached the house and started talking to Komal and her mother, The accused Vikram Singh arrived there with an axe and started assaulting the police.
Accused Vikram Singh charged towards Manoj with an axe, who was standing near the PCR but Manoj luckily ducked and the axe hit the windowpane of the van.
He tore off
Manoj’s uniform and also attacked the other policemen. As locals gathered near
the house Vikram took advantage of the commotion and escaped from the spot.
The suspect
is yet to be arrested Krishna Kant, Farrukhnagar nagar police station said.
