With an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 266 on Sunday morning compared to 173 on Saturday, the national capital’s overall air quality was classified as “poor.” On Friday morning, the air quality in the national capital was recorded in the ‘moderate category’ with an Air Quality Index of 149. Wednesday recorded an AQI of 83, while on Thursday it jumped to 117.
According to the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting and Research (SAFAR), the air quality Index recorded in areas of Delhi NCR are: Kartavya Path at India Gate - 266 , Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Terminal T3 in New Delhi - 276, Gurugram - 152 (moderate) and Noida - 290 (poor).
