Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, who has weathered many storms, felt the heat on Sunday. While speaking to media persons at a function in Patna, the Bihar CM said, “let us talk on these matters some time later. Today it is so hot.”
On a sweltering Sunday, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar evaded questions from journalists over the Uniform Civil Code, saying “Bahut garmi hai (It’s too hot). Let us talk about these matters some other time.”
Nitish Kumar was attending a function on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Anugrah Narayan Singh, Bihar’s first deputy chief minister.
The dignitaries sat under a marquee, under the beating sun which has sent the mercury shooting above 40 degrees Celsius for the last several days.
The Bihar Chief Minister met the journalists after the function and greeted them, adding “Bahut garmi hai (It is too hot)”.
As journalists asked him about the BJP’s fresh pitch for a Uniform Civil Code, the JD(U) leader ducked questions, saying “Let us talk about these matters some time later. Today it is so hot.”
He then waved at the media persons with a smile and left.
